Banded rear DB flys

I’ve posted this particular movement before on my social media but it’s been a while and worth reposting as it’s very effective.
As you can see I’m using a standard workout band with handles, putting the handle over the back of my wrists. While executing the movement do your best not you use your traps by pinching your shoulders back. The other benefit to the band is it helps prevent that and keeps majority of the tension on the rear delts. An important part of this is on the eccentric portion is to literally reach for the floor and extend your arms. This will act as a reset for each rep, you’ll see what I mean when you do it. I like adding this band when my shoulders are shot and I’m struggling to hold a contraction with a DB like this. It really puts a different strain on the tissue. Enjoy!
